Panasonic KX-TDA and KX-TDEadvanced hybrid IP-PBX solution
Our Panasonic KX-TDA and KX-TDE phone systems provide features and functions based on Internet Protocol and Local Area Networks, as well the conventional telecommunications network. They are the replacements for the discontinued Panasonic KX-TD phone systems.
New features in the KX-TDA/TDE system series include VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), LAN Networking, Advanced Remote Maintenance, SD memory card data storage, CTI (Computer Telephony Integration), and DECT digital multi-cell wireless phones.
With VoIP, you can connect to a Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN) to lower the cost of phone calls and to easily and instantly unite distant offices and employees.
You can choose from several control units (“KSUs”) that grow in capacity and add features with easy-to-install circuit modules. The smallest system is the KX-TDA50. It is initially equipped to handle four lines and four phones and can be expanded to work with up to 12 lines and about 50 phones. The bigger KX-TDA and KX-TDE 100 and 200 can handle dozens or even hundreds of lines and phones and other telecom devices. Panasonic’s unique DXDP technology allows you to easily and inexpensively double the phone capacity of your system by plugging one phone into another without having to install more wire or circuit modules!
KX-TDA and KX-TDE phone systems are full-featured and uniquely flexible. You can use literally hundreds of different kinds of phones, including the latest Panasonic digital and IP models, previous generations of Panasonic digital and analog phones, and even single-line phones — whatever is right for a particular person, purpose or budget. You can have up to 128 DECT digital cordless phones, and can also connect fax machines, credit card terminals, door intercoms, paging systems, and more. TDE systems include IP functions that are optional on TDA systems.
Your Panasonic KX-TDA or KX-TDE phone system can cover a few hundred square feet, and can unite people who are thousands of miles apart. You can communicate through conventional phone wiring, via VoIP, T1, ISDN, DSL, ethernet, or even without wires! You can speak with a handset, a speakerphone, a wired headset or a wireless headset. You can even use the same Bluetooth wireless headset with your cellphone and your Panasonic desk phone.
Although a Panasonic KX-TDA or KX-TDE phone system control unit (“KSU”) can be placed on a shelf or mounted in a bracket, rack-mounting makes it easy to connect your phone system to patch panels, network devices and other components. AbleComm has a wide range of racks and rack-mount devices, including patch panels, back-up power supplies, paging amplifiers, and on-hold music players. We also stock wire, jacks, tools and test equipment. We can supply everything you need for a smooth and successful installation.

DISTANCE TEST RESULTS: In a typical suburban environment, we had perfect communications to about 500 feet from the base, and usable communications (some ticking noise) to about 550 feet. The transmitting base was located on the second floor of a wood-frame house, and the signal passed through one exterior wall with vinyl siding, about 30 feet from the base. Indoors, we were able to go two floors down, and about 60 feet horizontally. Weather conditions: sunny, 45 degrees F., 50% humidity, 10 MPH wind. It can receive paging announcements. Photo at top shows a black base, with a black handset and charger, plus a white handset and charger. Each base works with ONE handset only. Choose the color you prefer.
The new system supports up to four door lock controls (or remote gate openers) and four door intercom speakers. Panasonic has two new families of door intercom speakers: audio only with optional brass or silvery metal finishes and a sexy blue “find me” LED; and audio plus video, to let you see if the person at the door is kindly Aunt Edna or the Boston Strangler. Of course, you also get phone to-phone intercom, and you can make an announcement (“Supper’s ready!”) through the speakers in all of the phones if your press Intercom, 330 or press a pre-programmed button.
Bogen TPU-35B 35 watt paging amplifier
Bogen TPU-35B is a full-featured wall-mounted telephone paging amplifier rated at 35 watts.
The paging channel is signal-activated and automatically mutes background music when paging from a telephone. The muting level of music during a page is adjustable, and the music gradually returns to its normal level after a page. The paging channel also has a VOX sensitivity adjustment to eliminate transmission of background noise, and features automatic output leveling to maintain constant output.
The amplifier incorporates the Aphex® Aural Exciter circuit to regenerate the harmonics lost during the amplification process, resulting in increased presence and clarity, increased intelligibility, greater perceived loudness (with no increase in power), and reduced listener fatigue.
Input terminals are furnished for a telephone line and Lo-Z balanced microphone. Terminals are provided for music mute (during mic page), and for activation of the night ringer. Jacks are also provided to bridge two TPU-B series amplifiers to double the number of inputs and outputs.
Balanced or unbalanced outputs are available for 16 W, 25V, 25VCT, 70V, and 100V speaker lines. Provision is included to feed a 600 W telephone line, LO-Z input or balanced Mic input of another amplifier, using an accessory transformer (Model WMT-1A). Front panel controls are provided to set telephone and mic page volume, music volume, night ringer volume, VOX sensitivity, music mute level, bass and treble levels, ALC, VOX sensitivity and Aphex effect.
